What happens when new classical music takes the form of ritual? Can time, phenomena, and the very nature of reality be explored and experienced through sound as a medium?

The Ægira Duo—violinist Anne Sophie Andersen and pianist Andrea Christie—have set out to explore these questions creatively through a cycle of new works for violin and piano. The questions are approached from two distinct perspectives: synesthesia and ceremony.

The program includes works by Nirmali Fenn, Sunny Knable, Santiago Rueda-García, Sophie Søs Meyer, Derek Weagle, and the Ægira Duo themselves.
