With the initial musical material of Metamorphosis ‘cocooned’ in the accordion, the rest of the ensemble displays the metamorphic change from effectively being a caterpillar and crawling and knowing one’s feet to the final release of being a butterfly and learning to fly and migrate. This sample recounts the transformation of stretching one’s wings.
